Math
Understanding First. Confidence Follows.
Maths can quickly become a source of anxiety when gaps are missed or concepts move on too fast. Our Maths tutoring focuses on slowing things down, making ideas make sense, and helping students feel more confident and in control of their learning.
Maths tuition is led by Daisy, a secondary Maths teacher with over 10 years’ teaching experience, including time as Head of Maths. She has taught Maths and numeracy intervention across Years 7 through to Post-16, working with a wide range of learners and ability levels.
Sessions are one-to-one, calm, and structured. Support is available for GCSE Maths and Functional Skills, with a strong focus on understanding rather than rote learning. Lessons are offered online or in person, and tailored carefully to what each student needs most.

KS3
Year 7-9
At Key Stage 3, Maths tutoring focuses on securing core skills and filling in gaps before they become barriers later on. Support covers number, algebra, reasoning, and problem-solving, with time taken to revisit concepts that may have been rushed or misunderstood.
Sessions are paced to build confidence and accuracy, helping pupils develop a more positive relationship with Maths and prepare effectively for GCSE study.
KS4
Year 10-11
GCSE Maths can feel overwhelming, particularly for students who have struggled earlier on. Tutoring at KS4 focuses on understanding key topics, applying methods confidently, and approaching exam questions with clarity.
Support is available for GCSE Maths and Functional Skills Maths, including targeted numeracy intervention where needed. Lessons break down topics step by step and focus on exam technique without pressure.
KS5
Year 12+ & Adults
Our Key Stage 5 Maths support is focused on GCSE resits and Functional Skills, rather than A-Level Maths. Tutoring helps students rebuild confidence, close long-standing gaps, and work towards the qualifications they need for further education, training, or employment.
Support is also available for adult learners, with lessons tailored around individual goals and learning histories. Sessions are practical, supportive, and focused on steady progress.
