Drama

Industry experience. Practical confidence. Clear guidance.

Our Drama tutoring is shaped by real experience — not just teaching Drama, but working in it. Support comes from teachers who have spent years in rehearsal rooms, on stage, and behind the scenes, alongside their work in education.

Drama tuition is delivered by Dan and Daisy, whose combined experience spans education, professional performance, directing, and production.

Daisy has taught drama across a wide age range, including running drama clubs for adults with SLD and teaching at Ariel Drama Academy for pupils aged 5–18. She has appeared in dozens of productions over the years and is currently performing at The Hawth in Botox and Custard Creams (February).

Dan has worked as a director and producer, including touring shows in Essex, and has had his own writing performed at venues such as the Arcola Theatre in London and The Mercury Theatre in Colchester.

Our Drama tutoring draws on this combined experience to offer grounded, practical support across National Curriculum Drama, GCSE, A Level, and BTEC pathways. We also support LAMDA exam preparation and audition work.

Because Drama is such a broad subject, we always recommend a short consultation before starting. Dan is best suited to theory, written work and exam analysis, while Daisy specialises in practical performance, confidence, and delivery. We’ll listen carefully to what’s needed and make sure pupils get the right support from the right person.

KS3

Year 7-9

At Key Stage 3, Drama tutoring focuses on confidence, collaboration and understanding performance skills. Support helps pupils engage with practical work, explore character and storytelling, and reflect on their work clearly.

Sessions are supportive and encouraging, particularly for pupils who enjoy Drama but lack confidence speaking, performing, or explaining ideas.

KS4

Year 10-11

GCSE and vocational Drama require a balance of performance, written analysis and reflection. Tutoring at KS4 supports pupils with practical preparation, understanding assessment criteria, and structuring written responses clearly.

Support can include devised work, scripted performance, coursework planning and exam preparation, helping pupils feel more confident both on stage and on paper.

KS5

Year 12+ & Adults

At Key Stage 5, Drama becomes more demanding and more personal. Tutoring supports A Level and BTEC Drama students with deeper analysis, performance development and extended written work.

Support is also available for LAMDA examinations, auditions, and preparation for further training or performance-based pathways. Sessions are shaped around individual goals, experience levels and confidence.
