Why we keep it simple

Shambrook Tutoring is run by us, Daisy and Daniel Shambrook. We are a husband-and-wife team, not an agency, platform or franchise. We both work in education and tutor alongside our teaching and family commitments. Because you are booking us directly, we keep the price straightforward: £40 for a full 60-minute session.\n\nBetween us, we have over 10 years of experience in education and continue to work in schools, including experience in senior school roles. Our tutoring is built around clear explanations, practical support and helping pupils feel more confident.

Book in the way that suits your child

Some pupils need regular weekly support. Some need a short block before exams. Some just need help when a topic gets difficult. We are happy to work around what your child needs, as long as we have availability.

Regular sessions

A fixed weekly slot can work well for pupils who benefit from routine, steady progress and ongoing support.

Blocks of sessions

Families can book a block of sessions, such as revision support, GCSE preparation or a focused run of help with a particular subject.

Ad-hoc support

Ad-hoc sessions may be available when we have space, useful for homework, assessments, revision or specific topics.

If your child needs both English and Maths, we can arrange support with both of us. English is with Dan. Maths is with Daisy.

Current availability

Tutoring takes place in the evenings because we both work in education during the day and organise sessions around family life. Availability changes as sessions are booked, so the times above are a guide to our current tutoring windows. Get in touch and we can confirm what is available.

Online or local face-to-face tutoring

We mainly offer tutoring online. Online sessions are usually the easiest way to keep tutoring consistent, flexible and simple to fit around school and family life.

Face-to-face tutoring may be available within roughly a 20-minute drive of Southwater, depending on the day, timing and availability.

If you are nearby and would prefer face-to-face support, get in touch and we can talk it through.

Cancellations and rearranging

We understand that life is bigger than education. We will always try to be fair and reasonable.

Notice over 24 hours

No payment is charged. We will try to rearrange the session if possible.

Notice under 24 hours

We will still try to rearrange where possible. We do not want families to feel punished.

Repeated cancellation
